Background of the Study
E-governance is an essential tool for enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in public service delivery. In Dutse Local Government Area (LGA), Jigawa State, awareness of e-governance initiatives remains limited, hindering public participation and adoption. Development communication plays a crucial role in promoting awareness and encouraging the use of e-governance platforms. This study examines the effectiveness of development communication strategies in fostering e-governance awareness in Dutse LGA.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Despite the introduction of e-governance initiatives in Dutse LGA, low awareness and adoption levels persist. Ineffective communication strategies, limited outreach, and insufficient public engagement contribute to this challenge. This study evaluates how development communication can address these issues and improve e-governance awareness.
